Kepçe Terms of Use

1. Parties and scope

These terms govern your use of the Kepçe iOS app (the "App"). The App is developed and provided by Erdi Souksu ("we"). By downloading or using the App, you accept these terms and the Apple Standard EULA. If they conflict, the Apple Standard EULA prevails for the provisions Apple requires.

2. Not medical advice

• Kepçe is a general-purpose tool that helps you log calories, nutrients, water and weight. It is not a medical device. Do not use it to diagnose, treat, prevent or monitor any disease.
• The targets in the App (calories, macros, water) are suggestions calculated with general formulas. They are not a personal nutrition or treatment plan.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition (for example diabetes or kidney disease), or have a history of disordered eating, talk to your doctor or a dietitian before changing your diet.
• The assistant does not answer questions about medication, dosing, extreme restriction or emergencies, and refers you to a health professional instead. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in Türkiye).

3. Accuracy of nutrition data

Nutrition values come from sources such as USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. Values for Turkish dishes are calculated from their recipe ingredients. These are averages, and your actual product, recipe and portion may differ. Open Food Facts data is entered by volunteers and may contain errors. Allergen preferences are a convenience only. Kepçe does not guarantee that any product is free of an allergen, so always check the package label.

4. AI features

AI features work only on compatible devices (iPhones that support Apple Intelligence) and are processed on the device. The AI can misidentify foods and amounts, so suggestions are always shown to you for confirmation before they are saved. AI responses are for information only and are not professional advice. An incompatible device is not by itself a reason for a subscription refund; the App shows whether your device is supported before you purchase.

5. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Kepçe.

6. Kepçe+ subscription terms

• Plans: Kepçe+ is offered as monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. The current price is shown in the App and on the App Store, in your local currency, before you buy.
• Free trial: The yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly price is charged. Each Apple Account can use the trial once.
• Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Renewal: The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Managing and cancelling: Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or with the "Manage Subscription" button in the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds: Apple collects all payments, so refund requests are handled through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
• Price changes: Apple notifies you in advance of any price change and asks for your consent when required.
• Free version: The free version includes logging. History display and AI use are limited. The scope of the free version may change, but this will not reduce a subscription period you have already paid for.
• Family Sharing: Kepçe+ is currently not shareable through Family Sharing.
• Restore: Use "Restore Purchases" on another device signed in with the same Apple Account to activate your subscription there.

7. Acceptable use

Use the App lawfully and only for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer the App, circumvent its security measures, or send automated requests that overload services such as Open Food Facts.

8. Your data

Your log is stored on your device and belongs to you. You are responsible for backing it up. Deleting the App, or using "Delete my account and data", permanently erases your data and it cannot be recovered. See the Privacy Policy for details.

9. Intellectual property and data licences

The App's design, code and brand belong to us. Nutrition data comes from USDA FoodData Central (U.S. Department of Agriculture, public domain) and Open Food Facts (© Open Food Facts contributors, Open Database License).

10. Limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is", without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable law, including Türkiye's Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, we are not liable for damage arising from nutrition or health decisions you make based on information in the App. Liability for intent or gross negligence, and your mandatory consumer rights, are not affected.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. For significant changes, the date and version on this page are updated and, where needed, the App asks you to accept them again.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The statutory jurisdiction of consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts is not affected.
